各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

二月初正是農曆新年，再次衷心祝福大家身體健康！農曆新年假期後，教育局宣佈由於疫情日趨嚴峻，全港學校停止面授課堂直至三月六日，授課改為以網上形式，所以我們不能如期與你們在學校相遇了。

In the beginning of February 2022, it was the Lunar New Year. I wish everyone good health during this challenging time. Schools in Hong Kong are suspended until 6th March, 2022 after the Lunar New Year Holiday owing to the pandemic becomes worse. All the face-to-face lessons become online lessons. Therefore, we cannot meet at school as usual.

在疫情爆發期間，大家要多注意個人衛生，要勤洗手。更重要是盡快請家人安排接種疫苗，降低感染和傳播致病病毒的風險。我明白大家每天都要留在家，會感到不爽，但希望大家也要忍耐一下，攜手去對抗病毒，重回昔日的生活。

In this period of COVID-19 outbreak, all of us have to pay extra attention on our personal hygiene. We have to wash our hands thoroughly and frequently. More importantly, young children should be arranged for the vaccination which can reduce to be infected and to minimize the risk of COVID-19 spreading in our community. I totally understand that staying at home all days is upset. Please be patient to wait and let us fight together. Our normal lives will resume as normal soon.

留在家中的時間多了，同學們使用電腦上網課的時間亦多了，應減少玩手機和看電視，令眼睛多點休息。另外，大家要珍惜與家人相處，主動與家人溝通，了解一下大家的想法，亦可以藉着協助做家務去增進大家的感情。在疫情之下，人人自危，心情難免會感到不耐煩。在家中，我們不可以只享受權利，也要盡自己的義務，令大家有守望相助的感覺，攜手渡過這個難關。

You stay at how for a long period of time and you will also spend a lot of time on the computer for the online lessons. You should reduce to use your mobile phones and to watch TV. Please give more time for your eyes to take rest. Besides, we have to treasure the time with your family. You should take the initiative to communicate with your family. You should try to understand their thoughts and you can take this opportunity to help with the housework which can build good relationship with them. Under this pandemic, people feel annoyed sometimes. You can not enjoy your rights and you should also pay for your obligations which can make people feel the mutual support to each other to overcome all the obstacles together.

多謝屯門民政事務處、屯門社區抗疫連線合辦及屯門區小學校長會協助，安排在二月二十四日(星期四)為3-12歲兒童科興疫苗接種日活動，由於為數量有限，所以每所小學的名額不多，當天家長及同學也準時出席完成，希望越來越多人接種疫苗，築起健康城牆。

Home Affairs Department and Tuen Mun Community Anti-Coronavirus Link organized an activity for children aged 3 to 12 to receive the Sinovac vaccination service with the assistance of Tuen Mun District Primary School Heads Association. There is a limit for each primary school in Tuen Mun, so our school had around 60 students to take the first jab. I was so happy our students and parents arrived punctually. Wish more people to be vaccinated and let us build up a ‘Health Wall’ to protect our city.

在二月十七日(星期四)及二月二十六日(星期六)的晚上，我分別與校友會成員及家長教師會成員在網上開會。在校友會會議上，我們討論選舉安排及與不同年份的校友聯絡，好讓更多的校友為母校服務；在家長教師會會議上，我主要想與家長互相交流、支持及告知家長下午增潤課的事宜。校友及家長對學校十分重要，他們的支持會令學校發展更流暢。說話當中，校友、家長也讚賞學校越來越美麗，網上的資訊又豐富，請我們要繼續努力。我們也要像新的奧運的格言一樣「更高、更快、更強、更團結」。

On 17th and 26th February 2022 night, we had a meeting with Alumni Association and Parent-and-Teacher Association respectively. Of course, it was an online meeting. In the meeting of Alumni Association, we discussed the arrangement of election. We also want to attract more alumni to support LTY and have some contribution to Alma Mater. In the meeting of Teacher-and Parent Association, we want to have more communication with parents, let them know we support. We are going to have extra lesson in the afternoon for students to finish their assignment or talk more among students and teachers. We are glad that both alumni and parents praised our school a lot. We have to keep it up as the Olympic Motto; “Higher, faster, stronger and together’.

特首於二月二十二日表示學校將會提早於三月初放暑假，有關放暑假的詳情，學校將會透過e-School及學校網頁通知大家。

The Chief Executive announced all the school will start the Summer Holiday in March on 22nd February 2022. About this arrangement, the school will let everyone know through the school website and e-School.
